New Season

And, when the season is over, the bravest and most courageous defenders will receive chevrons reflecting the valor they have shown on the battlefields.
New Cards
Basilisk is a mythic flying serpent who came from other worlds. It will buff the members of the Sleep group.
Bonecrusher is a mythic goliath that underwent some mutations and got incredible strength. His power-wielding fists will help the towers of the Hemorrhage group become stronger than ever before.
Tower of Repose is a mythic tower with a magic eye that puts the Creeps asleep and makes the flying enemies land. Say “Sweet dreams” to the Creeps!
Swallower is a mythic ancient spirit that seized the body of an old tree. Its powerful roots will annihilate and curse the underground Creeps that stand in your way!
Ferocity is a mythic spell that increases the damage dealt by your towers significantly. Besides, towers that can attack the underground Creeps receive additional bonuses from this spell.
As usual, you will be able to get the new cards at the coming events.

- Fixed the bug with the Heroes of the Fire group that gave a buff to the Flying Shredder tower;

New Heroes in the Castle
A squad of new Heroes has arrived at the Castle. They are determined to raise your level even higher. Give them a chance to prove themselves and they will not let you down!
U’uk (and its foil counterpart) is a mythic monkey king designed to significantly increase the damage dealt to the underground Creeps in the Castle.
Troublemaker (and its foil counterpart) is an epic beast warrior hunting down the underground Creeps of legendary rarity and below.
Fallen (and its foil counterpart) is a mythic knight whose mind has been consumed by the shadow. His specialization is to inflict fear on his enemies.
Minstrel (and its foil counterpart) is an epic musician whose songs breathe a new life into and give them vivific energy totems.
Dragon Warrior (and its foil counterpart) is an epic warrior who has spent years learning martial arts. People say that with one hit he can stun his opponent ‘til the end of their days.
New Cards
Flying Shredder is a unique mythic tower one sight of which makes the Creeps shudder with fear. It is flying, and inflicts a Hemorrhage effect on the enemies that deals damage over time.
As usual, the new tower will be available in one of the following events.
New Enemies
“The Primezone is bigger than we’ve thought,” concluded Primologist on his briefing with the Hero squad. He has cautiously warned the warriors about new Creeps that have been spotted on the east of the Primezone.
Scatheless Spider is a small but capable enemy that cannot be poisoned. You have to find other ways to fight this pest :)
Adamantine Goliath is an enemy with a nasty surprise: upon death, it releases a horde of Scatheless Spiders. Arachnophobes, beware!
New Totem
When nature itself makes you follow a completely different set of rules, druids call it silence. We present you a new Totem.
Cancelling Totem prohibits the use of magic in a certain area around it.

- Fixed the bug with quests related to the Pumpkin Gun and Volcano towers that did not finish;
- Fixed the bug with Corruption crafting when the players might have received the wrong number of shards;
- Fixed the bug with the Crystal Teleport when the players could place the runes on them blocking the path for flying/underground enemies;
- Fixed the bug with Flicker not enhance Burning Roots;
- Fixed the bug with the Queen and Incandescent Core not dealing the correct amount of damage to the flying enemies;
- Fixed the bug with the Indestructible Idol not dealing the increased amount of damage to the Fleetles when they were underground;
- Fixed the bug with the foil Mermaid’s Tower not stunning the Fleetles when they were underground;
- Fixed the bug with enemies not receiving the stunning effect under the Magma spell.

New Heroes for the Castle
Hurry up and recruit the new warriors:
Grenadier (and its foil counterpart) is a mythic professional shooter of the Damage group;
Firemaster (and its foil counterpart) is a mythic fox mage of the Inflammation group;
Tamer (and its foil counterpart) is a mythic warrior and tamer of the Against Flying group;
Muse (and its foil counterpart) is an energetic mythic Hero of the Totems and Energy group.
New Heroes of the Teleportation Group
Here for you:
Techna is an epic Hero whose powers increase the chance and distance of the teleportation;
Electra (and its foil counterpart) is a mythic Hero that not only increases the chance and distance of the teleportation but gives additional bonuses to the Towers and spells;
Now, there is also a foil counterpart of the Teleportation card in the game.
Meet Invincibug, a New Enemy
They say that when the Prime Zone was formed, this bug’s body absorbed an unimaginable amount of Prime, making its skin stronger than the toughest diamond.
The new enemy not only flies but is also completely immune to any poison. The bug's skin is so tough that the immunity to poison cannot be removed even by the Purifier or Tower of Order. Get ready to use all your ingenuity to fight back this monster!
A New Spell
A new spell is here! Corruption is a mythical spell that curses enemies in a similar way as the existing legendary card. However, for flying enemies, this card is much more dangerous, because this curse’s effect is 1.4 times stronger on them!
As usual, the card will be available in one of the following events.
Balance Changes
- The Banshee Tower. Now, Banshee, as befits a harbinger of death, uses all her horror to instill fear in the Creeps. The Creeps' Fear Chance and Immunity base values are now similar to other mythic Towers. Banshee still casts a curse, but this effect is secondary, and Tower upgrades now increase the duration and power of fear.
- The Volcano and Pumpkin Gun. We are making changes to the mechanics of inflicting damage by the "puddles" of these Towers, as in some cases they worked incorrectly.
Now, only one "puddle" from one Tower will inflict damage in each tile of the playing field. Several "puddles" from one Tower will inflict damage only if they are located in different areas of the playing field.
At the same time, several "puddles" from several towers will summarize their damage even at one area of the playing field.
Simply put, before the damage was bound to a "puddle", now, it is bound to the Tower. Therefore, it still makes sense to have as many Towers of this type as possible in order to maximize the overall damage.

Make it a good habit to check your in-game mailbox on time :)
Now, all letters in the "Other" folder have a retention period. After this time, the letter will be deleted.

Story Quests

What’s New with the Castle?
Meet new bonus levels where you can battle and receive foil card shards and other valuable prizes as a reward!
We summon a squad of new fighters, who will gladly join your team and help you in your fight for the Castle. You can meet them at the Castle's Trading area.
Teleportation
Meet a completely new game mechanic!
Crystal Teleport is a legendary tower that moves the Creeps a few tiles back. Just like the stun/fear, the teleport has a chance to be triggered, and the Creeps gradually gain immunity to this effect.
Teleportation is a mythical spell that, at your command, will move the Creeps in the selected area to a farther distance.
As usual, you will be able to get the new cards at one of the following events.
Rebalances
Burning Roots: The tower now deals more damage and slows down the Creeps even more.
We also introduce a foil version of the Burning Roots. This tower deals x2 damage to the underground Creeps.
Flying Smasher: The card upgrades now increase the stun chance.
Moreover, now you can insert runes to increase the stun chance, and the Heroes with group Stun will strengthen the tower. Anomalies and Speed runes now increase the stone fire rate.
Snowball: Card upgrades increase the slowing down. You can also insert runes to increase the effect, and Heroes with group Slow will strengthen the tower. Anomalies and Speed runes increase the snowball fire rate.
Tower of Order: Now, similar to the Purifier, it removes buffs (even immunities!) from the Creeps, but now it is an AREA effect! It no longer slows down the Creeps.
The foil version of this card further increases the duration of the silence effect.
Meteor: From now on, runes for the main parameter and improvements in battle increase the stun duration.
The foil version of the card now additionally increases the stun duration!
Queen: Now, the tower increases damage to flying enemies by 4 times!
Improvements
- We have updated the icon for the mythical chest. It now reflects the value and importance of this chest.
- Now on, after trying to impose the fear effect on Gnolls, Wolfhounds, and Magi, the slowing effects cease to act on them.
Fixes
- Fixed a bug with the effects of the curse being summed incorrectly in some cases;
- Fixed a bug with the icon "Blocking the path for underground enemies" not being displayed, when inserting a rune with this effect in the tower;
- Fixed a bug with totems that deal damage, when, in some cases, they dealt a disproportionate amount of damage to the Creeps;
- Fixed a bug with Magma not inflicting the desired debuff on the Yeti;
- Fixed a bug where the Curse spell card received an increased effect duration with in-battle upgrades, instead of effectiveness;
- Fixed a bug when it was impossible to insert runes into the Seismic Slammer, that block a path for underground and flying enemies;
- Fixed a bug with selecting tokens in the "Resources" tab when irrelevant information about the method of obtaining them was displayed;
- Fixed a bug in Katana's description;
- Fixed the Flying Saucer's description;
- Fixed a visual bug where the effect of the Aim tower was not displayed on the foil versions of the Hornet Hive, Electric Tower, and Tower of Order;
- Fixed a visual error with the visual effects of some towers (the Spider Nest and Sky Eye) not being displayed in the Castle not being displayed.

Defenders! Great news: we have fixed the bug with rating discrepancies in resource mines; prepared the whole new Castle for you with its unique Heroes, distinctive features, and rewards; and there is a new mythic tower, Burning Roots.
Mines
We express our gratitude to all the players who reported the bugs to us and provided us with additional information. All bugs have been fixed now. We would like to remind you that the current season has been extended until May 3.
- Fixed a bug with the rating number that did not match the sum of resource mines' levels. Now all the calculations must be correct.
Please note: in order for the changes to take effect, you must have at least one battle in each resource mine.
- Fixed bugs that could lead to a situation when after the battle in the resource mine the buttons "Attack" and "Change Opponent" would not appear.
Castle
We present you the place that every Defender needs. A real home, a well-equipped base in the heart of the Prime Zone - the ancient Castle is all of the above!
Fight in exciting battles, level up your Castle, and get a special resource, regalia. The Castle merchants will gladly exchange them for a variety of valuable goods, from essential resources to special Heroes! The higher is the level of the Castle, the more regalia you will receive and the more valuable goods will appear in the Trading area :)
There are two ways to get to the Castle: by selecting it on the Prime Zone map or by clicking on a special button on the right side of the screen.
New Heroes
The first squad of unique Heroes has arrived at the Castle, and you will be able to hire them right after you install the update. They will be available for hiring in the new unique Castle store called Trading area.
Witch Doctor is a Hero that increases the amount of Prime at the beginning of a battle in the Castle.
Sorceress (and her foil counterpart) is a legendary Heroine that increases the amount of Prime at the beginning of a battle in the Castle.
Hellblade is a mythic assassin from the ancient clan that increases the amount of Prime at the beginning of a battle both in and out of the Castle. This Hero cannot be hired with Fanatic and Sorceress at the same time.
New Tower
Burning Roots is a mythic tower of the Inflammation group. It extends burning branches that slow down all the Creeps nearby and set them aflame. It works on the underground Creeps as well.
New tower, as usual, will be available in one of the upcoming events.

Defenders! What you will see in this update: a new enemy appeared on the battlefields; Heroes are ready to welcome a new comrade-in-arms, fearless Katana; Yeti and Heavenly Punishment have undergone some changes, and some bugs have been fixed.
New Themed Event
Welcome the new themed event dedicated to the Cosmonautics Day! As usual, you can get some special runes and other valuable prizes during this event. More details in the dedicated post.
New Enemy
There is a new monster on the battlefields, Flame! It is fully immune to the damage dealt by the cards of Inflammation group. However, Frost towers and spells put an effect on it that makes Flame receive 5 times more damage from other towers and spells.
New Cards
Katana, a fearless warrior, has come to the battlefields.
– Katana (and her foil counterpart) is a mythic Hero and a counterpart of well-known and loved Audrey. Also, she increases the amount of Silver received for battles.
As usual, new cards will be available in one of the upcoming events.
Rebalances
– Heavenly Punishment now stuns 10 enemies (and its foil counterpart — 12);
– Yeti cannot freeze towers now. Frost towers and spells do not inflict any damage on it. However, towers of Inflammation group put an effect on it that makes Yeti receive 5 times more damage from other towers and spells;
Fixes
– Fixed the bug that did not let the players see the battle score in the resource mine;
– Fixed the bug that incorrectly increased spell duration under the effect from the runes with the same bonus;
– Fixed the bug that let the runes from Heroes with bonus upgrades be given to Heroes without any upgrades;
– Fixed the bug that did not let some players receive a prize for a daily login.

- Added the possibility to search (change) the enemy, even if the mine is not captured from the "starting" bot. In this case, the search for the enemy is always free and drops the level of the mine according to the rules of the season reset.

New Mine System
The completely revamped mine system is here!
It will let you have a constant inflow of resources, look for new opponents more often and choose the one you “like” the most out of them, and will make the rating system clearer :)

New Tower
- There is a new mythic card in the game, Laser Tower (and its foil counterpart).
This Tower’s attacks combine single target damage and area damage, burning right through the Creeps with a laser beam. Players can control the Tower’s aim during the battle by directing the laser beam. The Tower does not seek the enemies automatically.
You may get Laser Tower, as usual, in one of the following events. Don’t miss out on it :)
Improvements
- Per your requests we have added an ability to sell All-Purpose Gears, Spell Amplifiers, Ice Emblems, and Blessed Hammers. To do this you need to open the big map and tap on “Sell” in the pull down menu.
Fixes
- We have switched off the tasks on killing the Creeps with Support Towers (Engineering Tower, Repairing Tower);
- Wild Rider and Night Queen cannot be hired at the same time;
- We have fixed a visual bug with Sky Eye’s missiles.

Meet a new legendary Heroine in the game: Wild Rider and her foil variant.
Wild Rider is a counterpart of a well-known Night Queen.
New Boss
Now, if you are of Level 90, you may encounter Magus, a new boss in the Prime Zone! He constantly heals the monsters around him and becomes faster if you try to inflict Fear on him.
Rebalances
• Now, Detonator deals additional damage to the monsters instead of exploding them.
• Foil Detonator deals additional damage to the monsters that has Prime and, as it did before, explodes them upon killing.
Fixes
• Fixed the bug with foil Aim Tower that looked the same as the regular one on the battlefield;
• Mythic Heroes now reach the maximum of an upgraded-in-battle parameter only if they are fully upgraded.

Hotfix
To lessen the effect of the second bonus on the overall value of Endurance Rune we have increased the rune’s bonus to the effect:
- Endurance Rune now increases the effect by 50% and toughness by 75% (instead of increasing the effect by 30% and toughness by 50%)
Also, we have increased damage bonus of Pumpkin Rune to lessen the effect of changing the rune set in Towers with periodic damage on their effectiveness in battles:
- Longevity Rune now increases damage by 70% and toughness by 75% (instead of increasing damage by 45%)
Fixed the bug with incorrect damage bonus:
- Strengthen Rune now increases damage by 35% and toughness by 75% (instead of incorrect damage increase by 50%)
- Fixed the bug with missing anomalies created by Demonologist that could disappear with restart of the battle.

Chat
You have asked to introduce some new features into the game chat, and we have listened :)
- Now you can see account level next to player’s nick;
- Tapping on the player’s nick will copy it and paste it automatically into the text field;
- Upon receiving foil version of a card you will see an asterisk before the card’s name;
- If the player gets two or more same cards in a row, they will receive only one technical notification;
- Tapping on the card’s name in the chat will let you see its full description and appearance;
- Your own message will no longer be shown as a notification on the chat indicator on the global map.
New Cards
Meet Bruiser, a new Hero in the Prime Zone! He is a legendary counterpart of a well-known players’ favourite Hero, Duelist :)
Also, there are foil versions of the following cards: Flying Crusher, Missile Launcher, Bruiser, Patriot, and Lady Frost.
As with the other foil cards you have a chance to get them while crafting :)
Anomaly Towers
Now, there is a chance for an Anomaly Tower to appear on the battlefield.
This is a special Tower that will help you fight specific enemies in a battle. However, it is damaged at the beginning of the battle and requires some amoun of Prime.
Please note: these anomalies do not receive bonuses from Demonologist and Night Queen.
New Enemies
If your account is of Level 90 you may encounter new enemies on the battlefields — fearless warriors of the wolf pack!
- Gnoll. When trying to inflict Fear on this small and fast monster, he clears himself of all debuffs and increases his speed by 200%.
- Werewolf is a ground monster with average health and speed parameters. When trying to inflict Fear on him, he clears himself of all debuffs and increases his speed by 200%.
- Wolfhound. He is slow, has plenty of health and strong armor parameter. He also clears himself of all debuffs and increases his speed by 200% when trying to inflict Fear on him.
Runes
- Endurance Rune now increases effectiveness and health parameters of the Tower (instead of main parameter and Tower’s ability power);
- Strengthen Rune now increases the Tower’s toughness by 45-50% (instead of 45-75%)
- Longevity Rune now increases the Tower’s toughness by 45-70% (instead of 45-75%)
- Runes that increase the Tower’s main parameter now add main damage and damage per second to the Towers with periodic damage.
- Now damage and damage over time for the Towers with periodic damage is increased with the damage parameter instead of the effectiveness. Because of that you cannot place runes that increase effectiveness on the Towers with periodic damage (Hornet Hive, Volcano, Colony of Bats, etc.).
Rebalances
- Now Pumpkin Tower’s (and its foil counterpart’s) projectiles curse enemies instead of slowing them down.
- Damage of Missile Launcher has been increased.

Rune Crafting
Welcome a new system in the game — rune crafting system!
By using it you can create any rune of your choice: with double or triple effects, special event ones (for example, from the Halloween set of pumpkin runes or a triple rune for the central slot). The only condition is that you have at least one such rune in your collection.
The system itself is similar to the Tower, Spell, and Hero crafting systems:
- You should choose a rune that you want to create from the inventory. For crafting you need to have at least one such rune of any rarity in your inventory;
- And proceed to the rune crafting interface by tapping a special button.
In the interface you can see:
- What rune was picked for crafting;
- Progress Bar: you will make crafting available the first time you fill the bar to 100%. However, the rune you are creating will have a minimal rarity (for example, epic rarity in case of double runes and legendary for Retribution Rune). The more times you fill the progress bar, the rarer rune you will get, up to the cyan one.
If the progress bar is not completely filled the shown % indicates your chance of getting an additional rune of higher rarity.
Rune crafting requires some Silver and stones. The cost will increase accordingly the rarer the rune you are creating.
Besides, creating runes with double and triple effects, and event runes will increase the cost of crafting and requirements for how much your progress bar is filled.
You can use any runes for crafting. The rarer the rune you use for crafting the more % of progress bar it will fill.
However, the number of rune effects (one, two or three) will not help you fill the progress bar faster.
Random Shop Change
To make buying at the Random Shop more understandable and be in control of it, we have changed its assortment renewal rules.
– Now, you can renew the assortment of goods only by tapping the Update button;
– Free renewals are given every three hours and you can get the maximum of three (as it is now).
New Enemy
Welcome her on the battlefields, Iron Fury! This flying enemy is protected by armor and you can encounter her if your account has reached Level 90.
New Towers
There are two new mythic towers in the game — Flying Crusher and Missile Launcher
Flying Crusher deals area damage, affecting both ground and underground enemies. And flies away then :)
Missile Launcher is similar to the well-known Mortars and seals additional damage to the bosses.
New Hero
Shaman invited his closest sibling to the Prime Zone, foil Shaman :)
Rebalances

Rating
- Due to an error, some Towers dealt an extremely high amount of damage. That is why the rating that players earned in the mines since the Season start (July 22) has been reset.
Thus, the Season has started anew.
We made this decision to prevent a possible situation where a player could not pass a mine because its level had risen greatly due to the Towers dealing an abnormally high amount of damage.
Fixes
- Fixed the bug that greatly increased damage of some Towers (including their league counterparts): Deadly Poison Shooter, Dragon Tower, Sky Burner, Volcano, Pumpkin Gun, Hornet Hive, Colony of Bats. Now their damage corresponds to the original plan.
- Fixed the bug with a double bonus that the Volcano and Pumpkin Launcher received from the Heroes Vixen and Fire Fox.
- Fixed the bug with the Colony of Bats that increased the Tower range, instead of the damage when you upgraded this Tower in battle.
- Fixed the bug that did not stack the damage increase from the Deadly Strike and the same effect from the Prime Injector or the Aim Tower.

Shards and Runes
The card management has become much more convenient — you can control the fuse and sale with the accuracy of one card, even in shards!
- In the multisell and fuse interfaces, you can now see two new buttons — '+1' and '+max'. They will help you control the selection of runes and chards (in increments of one card) when you sell or fuse them.
- Also, now at the very top of the window in the multisell interface, you can see the amount and type of currency you will get by selling selected cards or shards.
At the same time, if there are not enough shards for at least one card, selling such a pack will be impossible.
Effects Mechanics
- Now all the effects add up, but only if they come from different sources.
Thus, a 20% increase in damage from the Accursed Bastion, 20% from the Spider Nest, and 20% from the Curse will add up and will give a 60% increase in damage to the Creeps.
At the same time, 20% of one Accursed Bastion and 20% of another Accursed Bastion will not add up.
The same goes for tower buffs, damage over time, etc.

Magic cards will receive all the improvements (from the runes) at the start of the mission, instead of receiving one star at the beginning of every difficult level.
UP marker
For your convenience, from now on the marker will be displayed in the following cases:
- If the card can be upgraded (it is possible to increase the quantity parameter or evolve the card).
- If there are enough shards to collect a card, and there is no such card in your collection yet.
- If there are enough shards to collect a card, and the number of such cards in your collection has not reached its maximum.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed the bug where, in some cases, the Creeps did not accumulate immunity to fear.

Hero Tokens Exchange
We've noticed that some high-level players complained about how difficult it was for them to collect Hero Tokens of low rarity, especially the Bronze ones.
So now, the Hiring tab on the ship has two new Packs — to exchange Hero Tokens.
- 1000 Bronze Tokens for 500 Silver ones
- 1000 Silver Tokens for 500 Gold ones
Changes in the Orders
- As part of the campaign to eradicate various game abuses, we’ve introduced changes to the mechanics of the Orders. Now, the completion progress is counted only in case of victory in a battle.
It means that the creeps killed in an unfinished battled or in a lost battle even using the needed Tower are not going to be considered in the order completion progress.
Changes in the Mythic Leagues Rewards
- In response to the requests of the Mythic League players, we’ve added Epic League Cards to the Mythic League Chests as a permanent item.

Interface Improvements
- Now, all new cards are displayed at the beginning of your collection. And the “NEW” indicator disappears after opening a full description of a card, or after clicking on a different tab.
- The card placement changes according to the same principle — either by clicking on the card or on a different tab.
- Sorting according to a slot in the Runes tab has been improved. Now, Tower Runes are displayed first (according to the decreasing rarity), after them — Spell Runes.
To make it more user-friendly, we’ve divided Tower and Spell Runes into different blocks.
- Now, the Rune interface, which opens after a card upgrade, displays runes in the same way as the Rune Collection interface — as one card with its total number.
- Moreover, now, after a card upgrade the runes that can’t be put in this card will not be displayed.
- The Ship interface has also been improved. Now, Talents in all groups have been sorted from the cheapest to the most expensive.
- Interfaces of both Resource and League Mines now have a button with a tip.
Fixes
As you already know, recently we сhanged Duelist’s bonus, so that this Hero wouldn’t introduce a significant imbalance to the game process.
Yet, an error was detected, which now has been rectified.
- Now, Duelist can replay a mission only once.

This hotfix is aimed at fixing errors with some Mythic Heroes which appeared after the latest update release.
Fixes
- Fixed the error with some Mythic Heroes’ ability affecting both Towers and Magic. It shouldn’t work like this
- Fixed the error with Lady Frost granting 2 additional improvements during battle to Festival Mortar and Petard Mortar.
- Fixed a number of wrong interactions between Vixen and Towers.
Now, the Hero correctly increases strength of effects OR damage of Towers.
Please note:
• For Towers which deal damage over time (Pumpkin Gun, Volcano, Hornet Hive, Snake Tower and others) Vixen increases “damage per second”.
• For Towers which have a chance of applying negative effects to creeps (stun, slowdown, fear etc.) Vixen increases their damage. We’ve done this so that these Towers could receive boost constantly.
• For Towers which always apply negative effects to creeps, Vixen increases effect’s number.
Some examples:
• In case of Pumpkin Gun, Vixen increases its damage from “pumpkins” and strength of slowdown — because slowdown is always applied (it doesn’t have the ability hit chance), and “pumpkins” deal damage over time.
• In case of Banshee Tower, Vixen increases its damage, since applying fear to creeps has the ability hit chance.
• In case of Spider Nest, Vixen increases its slowdown parameters.

New League Rewards!
- We continue to expand the reward assortment for league achievements!
Starting from this version, shards of League Deadly Prime Cannon and League Purifier will be added to the usual achievement rewards.
Event Interface Improvements!
- Event interface has become more user-friendly!
Now ALL REWARDS are displayed as a list (not just five latest)! This means that you can check a complete reward list, learn all information needed about any card, and track your progress easier — all this in the event window!
- Yes, you can click on any icon — click on any card to learn more about it
- Moreover, to make it more convenient for you, event currency is now displayed at the top of the window alongside stars.
Mythic Heroes Rebalance
- Now Mythic Heroes affect not only red cards, but all the rest of them! Of course, unless indicated otherwise in a Hero description.
We did this to make battle patterns more diverse and to not limit players with a certain rarity level of Tower and Magic cards.
- Consequently, the following pairs of Heroes cannot be hired at the same time: Nosferatu — Quarrier, Wendigo — Da’Ka, Trickster — Highlander.
Other Improvements
- To eliminate unpleasant moments when you accidentally sell your card, we’ve improved the Multisell mode. Now, if you turn on this mode card highlight automatically stops.

New League Cards
- With every update League Mines become more popular and interesting for players of all levels. The previous update introduced a chance to earn rating in all leagues and receive daily rewards for it, this update introduces new league cards.
Now in chests you can find, for example, shards of league Machinegun MK 2 and some other towers which have received “silver stars”.
Another great new feature — league magic! You heard it right, apart from shards of towers, in chests you can find shards of league Meteor and True Vision!
In the future updates we will add even more league cards: both for towers and spells. Collect them all!
Rune Interface Improved
- We’ve listened to your requests and now rune interface allows to sort “stones” by slots. The display of runes according to rarity will stay the same — from cyan to white. And to make it more convenient, first all runes for towers will be shown according to their slots, then — runes for spells.
- We have also changed the way identical runes are shown. Now such runes will be displayed as one card and their number will be shown under the card. Please note that the marker “NEW” will appear only if you receive a completely new rune. If you add the runes that you already have, the marker won’t appear.
Improved Card Sorting
- Towers and spells can now be sorted by their basic rarity (color). In this case cards will be displayed in the following way: basic rarity (from the rarest to the least rare) → current rarity → card level → name.
Improved Interface of the Shop
- Now, in the random shop you can open a card window, where you can check complete information about the card and buy the item.
- To make it faster and more convenient to refresh random shop’s pages, we have removed the pop-up window asking for a confirmation to change slots.

Other Interface Improvements
- To make it more convenient for you to manage your cards, we added buttons Fuse Locked and Shared to the main collection menu. Sharing your cards with friends on Facebook and protecting them from accidentally selling or fusing together has become easier and faster!
- The Attack button has become “smarter” and learned new useful tricks. Now if there are no active missions on the map, but there are some unexplored territories, pressing the Attack button will make your ship move towards the unexplored area.
- And the last change in the interface — small but cool Now by opening a chest you will instantly see the number of shards you’ve received for each card!

League Mines and Battles

Runes:
- A new rune interface was added! Find it in the collection menu, where the Feeders tab used to be. Managing runes is easier than ever!
You asked a lot—we listened and added the possibility to merge all available for upgrade runes at once! There's also a new multisell function.
- Number of runes refreshes automatically after the merging.
- Introducing new runes! They will make your collection more diverse and suitable for cards of any role. The rune choice for each slot became broader. There are new double and even most rare triple runes!
To ease the collection process for you, we've prepared a new event where you can win these brand-new runes. The event starts with the update.
Price Reduction and Better Premium:
- Prices for all the chests are 5-6 times lower! For instance, 10 legendary chests cost only 150 stars (instead of 900). Note: now all chests for stars are sold as boosters of 10 chests.
- Star-for-silver exchange is 10 times more profitable! You can now exchange 1 Star for 1000 Silver (instead of 100)! Yet, prices in Silver remain the same
- Active Premium now doubles not only battle-reward chests but also those received in the league competitions.
Mines:
- New tab in the league mine menu—Rewards. It's here for a reason: from now on, you can get runes for your league achievements EVERY DAY!
- Participation in league rating becomes possible as soon as at least one league mine unlocks. Rating points are calculated on the same principle in all the leagues.
- The circle color in the Mines tab of the league menu now matches the color of the area you entered.
- The league PvP icon now displays the number of mines where you occupy the red area.
- The menu of the resource mines became clearer. It now includes the following tabs: Mines—a new tab to look through all available mines and go to the right one; Rating—a tab with the world PvP rating; Rewards—the PvP tab that used to be in the quests.
- The PvP icon also displays the number of mines, captured by opponents.
Rebalances:
- We continue to fight with abusing mechanics, including the circling-creeps-strategy.
- If you stun creeps with any tower or spell, they get bonus resistance to the effect, stacking up to complete immunity.
- The slow mechanics were changed: 100% slow reduces the creeps' speed by half but effects from different sources can sum up. The highest possible slow remains the same—x10 slow (when the index reaches 900%).
- We reconsidered the confuse mechanics. Now it's called fear/flee. Feared creeps flee in the opposite direction. Successful fear grants the creeps bonus resistance to this effect.
- Heroes became stronger: Da'Ka, Lightning Master, Aviator, Maiden, Mimi, Dryad, Cryo, Shadow, Fire Fox, Tearaway, Vryl, Cannoneer, Archer, S.Putnik, and Stalker.
Miscellaneous:
- The home screen has a new button—To Battle! It shows the number of active PvE missions. Select it to go to the nearest available battle location.
- Several icons can now be displayed next to a player's nickname in the chat.
- Feeders are displayed in the corresponding Tower and Spells tabs.
Fixes:
- The Aim Tower range is correctly displayed.
- Tower of Chaos no longer stops attacking creeps for no apparent reason.
- Indestructible Idol now deals x4 damage to underground creeps in comparison to ground creeps. The tower no longer attacks flying and invisible creeps but can deal damage to totems.

- We are introducing the system of seasons to Defenders 2! Take part in battles, fight your way up the leaderboard, and earn unique rewards: only 100 best players will receive special prizes! PvP rating will reset as the seasons start, meaning everybody will stand a chance to win!
- Season rewards were added to the game: chevron cards that grant special titles, visible to everybody in the chat! They also grant special bonuses to their owners.
- The League system reworked. The red area is now for players with no victories, the blue — at least 1 victory, and the green is for the best 3 players. Rewards for the blue area were improved while red chests were cut to 1 Silver. To enter the next league, player now must enter the green zone and win a certain number of times - to prevent situations with getting into too difficult leagues.
- We are introducing the new league — Mythic League! Its rewards correspond to its name: valuable red crystals that can be exchanged for mythic chests. Mythic League has its own PvP rating.

- Mythic chests in the shop are available from level 90. New "red" type of content was meant for high-level players who’ve already collected all the cards, so they could experience new tactical horizons. However, — judging by our statistics and your feedback — mythic content has led to an issue: even legendary cards are getting irrelevant too fast. To fix this, we are making mythic content available at higher levels. Note: players of levels 70–89 who already have red cards won't lose them.
- We are announcing a fight with abusing mechanics that destroy the interest of the game. 2 first changes are coming now:
• Ship Crane reworked. From now on, HP of the base will always restore by 1 heart per minute and the number of additional lives will be limited: 1–5 hearts per battle, depending on the Ship Crane upgrade. This is our first step towards a complete solution of the problem with the “strategy” of making the creeps circle round the battlefield.
• The Help me function (help from friends) was giving an unfair advantage, allowing to farm valuable rewards, which was damaging the in-game balance. As we introduce the system of seasons and rating reset, we blocked the Help me function.
- We fixed a bug with an unlimited number of stars for ads, so the Free Stars option is back in the shop!
- We reduced the number of available simultaneous battles on the map as a part of balance changes. Now, up to 9 arenas can be available on default: 3 Assaults, 3 Hunts, and 3 Raids. Each mode has common, epic, and legendary difficulty. We also increased the highest upgrade level of Aeronautics from 6 to 10. Now, when the skill is fully upgraded, the number of available arenas is increased to 18. Besides, since Duelist became much more valuable in the new conditions, he is temporarily unavailable to get in Hero Packs or through level up.
- The effects of Beautification and Warlord were swapped. Now Beautification grants bonus experience when fusing any cards while Warlord affects Hero cards only.
- Now, all the Ship upgrades are divided into 4 groups: common, special, rare, and epic. The higher the group, the more expensive the upgrade and the more time it takes. Also, it affects on what account levels upgrades are available.
- The daily, weekly, and special offers moved to the main shop. The calendar icon on the global map now summons the list of daily rewards.
- Silver packs are changed and now are of 1k, 10k and 100k Silver. Yet, the rate of Silver against Stars is the same: 1 Star = 100 Silver.
- The notification on the ship icon now shows only the number of available current upgrades.
- The buttons of the ship and league battles are swapped. You can now see your season rating near the button of league battles.
- The Skip animation option now applies to Hero Packs too.

The following pairs are now mutually exclusive: Poison Shooter — Deadly Poison Shooter, Prime Cannon — Deadly Prime Cannon, Machinegun — Machinegun MK 2, Frost Tower — Frost Guard, Accursed Tower — Accursed Bastion. Battle Passes
Defenders!
We are introducing Defenders 2's new weekly Battle Passes! With them, you can, depending on the PvE-mode, get the cards you need — shards of Towers and Spells, runes, or other resources.
- Battle Pass: Assault will let you get runes for Towers and Spells;
- Battle Pass: Raid will let you increase the number of valuable resources;
- Battle Pass: Hunt will let you obtain shards of cards.
To get rewards, you need to clear difficult levels in PvE locations (“swords” on the map) of the corresponding mode.
Each pass has two lines of prizes — a free one, which is available without any additional conditions, and a paid one, which prizes are available only if you purchase a specific Battle Pass.
Heroes
The global rebalancing of the Hero system is here!
• For each group of Towers and Spells there is its own line of Heroes now;
• You can take only one Hero from the group into battle.
• The Hero's rarity now determines cards of what color their bonus will apply to. The higher the rarity of the Tower or Spell is, the rarer the Hero must be to enhance it;
• Also, the value and even the number of bonuses depend on the rarity of the Hero. For example, the rarest (mythic) hero will give the cards of his group as many as three bonuses, including additional upgrades in battle!
• Besides, we have revised the value of the Hero bonuses — we have increased them.
New Heroes
New heroes have appeared in the game:
• Mythic: Shaman, Patriot, Berserk Alpha, Squink
• Legendary: Head Hunter, Primologist, Berserker, Mort, Lightning
You can get these Heroes in special events. Do not miss them!
Changes in Hero System
• Now the cards of Heroes, who are hired on the ship, have a SHIP marker in the collection;
• Freeze now slows down only ground creeps;
• Fanatic now increases the amount of Prime at the beginning of a battle;
• Heroes that have an impact on the battle strategy are united in groups:
- Fanatic, Highlander, Defender are in the Servants group;
- Lady Frost, Snow Maiden, Da'Ka are in the Brisk group;
- Freeze, Dendromonster, Fay are in the Containment group.
Like other Heroes of the same group, they cannot be recruited at the same time.
• Besides, Snow Maiden, Highlander, and Da'Ka now give effects to all cards, including mythic ones.
Experience
In this version we have also revised the systen for gaining exp.
• Now the main way to gain exp is by merging cards
• The amount of exp gained per battle reaches its maximum at level 90 of any location.
• Each card gives a fixed amount of exp, depending on its rarity.
• If a similar card is used for merging, the amount of exp will be several times higher;
• Bonuses from the ship and Heroes will also affect the process of getting exp.
Please note!
If the card used for merging already has a certain amount of experience (i.e. the card level is above 1), then it will be added to the merging experience.
• Given the fact that cards of high rarity are giving much more experience when merging now, the requirements for leveling up have also been raised.
Sorting the Shards
• The shards with the NEW marker will now be displayed first;
• After them, there will be all the shards from which you can collect at least 1 whole card, separated according to the basic rarity;
• And at the end there will be the shards which are not enough to collect the whole card, also separated according to the basic rarity.
Bug Fixes
• Upgrading the Frost Tower in battle increases the slowing down effect;
• Foil bonus for the Snow Cannon has been changed to a 20% increase in the slowing down effect;
• Fixed a bug with the foil Underground Predator that made it impossible to insert runes that increase the effect duration;
• Fixed a bug with the Flying Saucer's damage;
• Fixed a bug with the Towers where in some cases it was possible to upgrade them by using All-Purpose Gears of a lesser rarity.

Chests
– Now, the regular chests that you can receive as a battle reward or buy at the store can get you cards, Heroes shards, and all types of Hero tokens.
– We have removed Hero chests from the game.
Please note! You cannot get new Heroes — who appeared in the game with the last update — as well as the Heroes of the Servants and Brisk groups from the chests.
– Now you can get mythic chests as a battle reward (both in PvP and in PvE high-level locations)

Rewards for Completed Tasks
– Now, you can get Hero tokens as a reward for a completed task. Silver ones if your account is of Level 30 or above and Golden ones if it is of Level 70 or above.
Crafting System
Defenders 2 introduces a completely new system: the creation of specific player-selected Tower, Spell, or Hero card shards.
Now you can use the accumulated shards to create the cards that you need!
To do this, you need to follow the instruction:
– Select the card or card shard from those available in the collection;
– Use a special button in the card menu that will take you directly to the crafting interface;
– Select which cards from the inventory you would like to convert to the ones you have selected at the first stage.
Besides, by doing this, you get a chance of receiving a bonus — shards of card's foil analog or other special cards.

New Creeps
– A new enemy has appeared in the Prime Zone, Fleetle! You can meet it in any location if your account is of Level 90.
This flying enemy is extremely cunning: when trying to land, it burrows under the ground, removing all debuffs from itself, and continues its way there.
Heroes
– Now, when choosing Heroes for a team (in the ship interface), you can see special icons indicating that the Hero belongs to a particular group.
– Also, you can now sort Heroes by groups.
Usability
– Added the function for an early automatic release of the Creep waves. Hooray!
– Added the duration of magic display in-battle. It is a special icon with a countdown timer.
Evolution
The evolution cost for cards of mythic rarity has been changed.
– The new cost of the evolution of red Towers and Spells is 150 Red Crystals, 20,000 essences of one type, and 10,000 essences of another.
– Evolution of the red Hero costs 150 Red Crystals + 4,500 silver helmets + 2,250 golden helmets.
New Cards
– Added foil counterparts for many cards:
Towers: Incombustible Blackthorn, Flying Saucer, Incandescent Core, Christmas Tree, Festival Mortar, Petard Mortar, Minigun, Reviving Tower, Snowball, The Queen, Ghost Tower, Banshee Tower, Colony of Bats.
Spells: Merciless Strike, Time Warp, Golden Dust Barrier, Poisonous Swamp.
Heroes: Banshee, Vampire, Da'Ka, Defender, Nosferatu, Tu'Rehu, Snow Maiden, Mage, Vixen, Squink, Highlander, Fanatic.
– Also, welcome a legendary hero of the Incineration group, Fiery Priestess, and her foil counterpart
Rebalances
– The Queen's second effect has changed — now it deals 50% more damage to flying enemies (previously, it returned 80% of the price upon sale).
Also, the base damage for the Queen and its foil counterpart is increased by 5%
– The Hornet Hive and Colony of Bats now make invisible enemies visible and can attack invisible enemies (previously, they did not allow them to go invisible).
Fixes
– Fixed a bug with the Might Rune (and double runes with this effect) not affecting some towers.
– Fixed a bug with Flying Smasher and Snowball's projectiles that sometimes were floating in the air.

New Heroes
Meet a new legendary Heroine in the game: Wild Rider and her foil variant.
Wild Rider is a counterpart of a well-known Night Queen.
New Boss
Now, if you are of Level 90, you may encounter Magus, a new boss in the Prime Zone! He constantly heals the monsters around him and becomes faster if you try to inflict Fear on him.
Rebalances
• Now, Detonator deals additional damage to the monsters instead of exploding them.
• Foil Detonator deals additional damage to the monsters that has Prime and, as it did before, explodes them upon killing.
Fixes
• Fixed the bug with foil Aim Tower that looked the same as the regular one on the battlefield;
• Mythic Heroes now reach the maximum of an upgraded-in-battle parameter only if they are fully upgraded.
